Donate to 3B

48.8 million Americans—including 16.2 million children— live in households that lack the means to get enough nutritious food on a regular basis.

For people close to where I live, did you know 1 in 8 Delawareans struggled with food insecurity in 2013? Did you know Delaware is ranked #16 in the nation for food insecurity?

If you donate to 3B we can assure you the funds will not be used for profit, every penny goes into raising awareness about food insecurity and in packing and delivering brown bags for homeless and low-income populations.

3B is self-sustained and that means we rely on donations from our supporters to help keep 3B up and running.

Items we purchase for 3B include:

  • Water bottles
  • Healthy snacks like: pretzels, crackers, granola bars, fruit bars, fruit snacks, etc.
  • Gloves or scarves
  • Books for kids of all ages
  • Toiletry Items
  • Labels
  • Paper
  • Ink
  • Promotional items to help raise awareness

We are working on creating t-shirts for the project and we will provide a form to order these t-shirts once they are available.

The t-shirts will be given out on a first come first serve basis in lieu of donations to the project.

Online donors will receive an automatic receipt via email from PayPal. The receipt you receive will list Brae’s Brown Bags Donation as the item, the funds will be sent to Braeden via PayPal and then we will transfer them to the 3B bank account held at Wells Fargo.

Please note if you drop off food for donation we can give you a receipt for the weight of the food donation, not its monetary value. Likewise if you donate toiletry items, books or winter clothing items unless you have a receipt for those items we cannot provide you with a receipt for tax purposes.

If you would like to mail a check to 3B Brae’s Brown Bags please fill out Brae’s contact form and we will send the mailing address.

Our EIN is 46-4307237. Your contribution is tax deductible.
